The front page is nice but there should be a larger link to todays posts and audio

First I must say I appreciate all the work and thought that went into deciding what exactly goes on the forums page where people go when they initially come here. I think it gives a much different impression of the site then we (the frequent posters) even realize. I think a lot of the stuff on the front page unnesessarily makes the site look like hardly anyone posts here.

I am not looking for drastic changes to the front page. Just lets toot our own horn a little and show newcomers just how busy the site is right on the top of the page.

I would like a short audio explanation of how to use the site THAT BRAGS ABOUT THE SITE also brag about how we are pretty good at stopping porn

On the very top of the page ( or very near the top) I would like to see

Look at what *approxiametly 300 active members and growing have written today. Daily we average 1000 posts (or whatever the number is) This website daily helps determine what the movers and shakers of Jacksonville are thinking(and then once you click on this whole sentence it leads you to todays posts)

then wherever you put who is online also add a sentence about the usual quantity of expertise of the people here.

KEEP EVERYTHING ELSE ON THE FRONT PAGE BUT DON'T LET ANYONE VISIT US AND THEN WRITE OFF THE ROLE WE ARE PLAYING IN THIS COMMUNITY BECAUSE WE DON'T APPEAR THAT POPULAR

Dave, I've got some changes coming. The old design is being replaced, a logo will be added, new icons will be added in place of the current text menu bar and more.

An audio introduction isn't a bad idea. If coded right, it could be made to autoplay for all guests the first time they visit the site. All we need is Don Lafontaine to do the voice over intro (he's the voice heard in over 5,000 movie trailers).

we need to appear busier A BIGGER INFLUENCE. I don't think our front page reflects what you have achieved. Don't be afraid to toot your own horn.
