Hello Everyone,
I am new to posting, but have read a lot of posts to this board. The reason I am writing here is to bring attention the idea of a downtown dog park in Springfield. This idea got started a few weeks ago from Dan Blanchard and we finally have a place where we would like to call "home" (at least for our furry friends). What I am writing for, is that we need to have 150 pledges of $25 to show to the City of Jacksonville, so that they will give us a matching gifts fund for our dog park. Right now we are standing around 80 pledges and need to get the rest by Thursday April, 27. I am writing this to you to help us realize this dream so that we can all have a place for our dog's to run about and play. The park would be free for all and will be gated. It is roughly about 2.5 acres and there will be an area for big dogs and small dogs. I know a lot of downtown residents have dogs and I am sure that you would love to be able to walk to a dog park and let your best friend loose. If you would be willing to give us a pledge, please download this form and fill it out and sign and give us an email or call, we will gladly come pick it up.
Also, there is no need for up front money, we just need the pledge until COJ gives us the grant. Please help us help dogs.
Thanks,
Peter 904-294-6553
